Cappella Novocastriensis: 'In Honour of Mary and Cuthbert'

This is the start of Cappella's five year musical journey, visiting venues particularly associated with St Cuthbert. At Melrose, he reputedly had a vision which eventually took him to Holy Island, and into the Golden Age of Northumbria.

Vivaldi Rediscovered: Cappella Novocastriensis and Newcastle Baroque with Julia Kogan (soprano) and Eric Cross (conductor)

King's Hall, Armstrong Building, Newcastle University. 7.30pm - 9.30pm

Vivaldi Rediscovered

Cappella Novocastriensis and Newcastle Baroque with Julia Kogan (soprano) and Eric Cross (conductor) perform a programme of varied music by Vivaldi, including the UK premiere of the recently discovered Dixit Dominus, and a performance of the 'other', less familiar Gloria.

Programme includes:
Dixit Dominus, RV 807
Domine ad adiuvandum me, RV 593
Gloria, RV 588
In furore giustissimae irae, and other operatic arias.
