Wylam Institute, 10.30am - 4.30pm One of the ways that the Cobweb Orchestra has been able to expand the amount we offer over the last year has been the development of professional group leaders (as in conductors rather than lead violinists). People who express an interest in becoming Leaders must first attend an induction day (at a cost of £25) and then join the Leaders' Group which meets roughly every two months. Once people are sufficiently able and confident, they can take on the job of leading sessions and are remunerated at our standard rates of pay. There has been continued interest from within and from outside the orchestra and so we are running another induction day on Saturday 28th June 2008 at Wylam Institute (10.30am - 4.30pm). If you're an adult learning an instrument or have just dusted the cobwebs off your old violin in the attic come along and give your instrument an airing with others.The sessions will be on June 7th, 14th and 21st, from 10.30am - 12.30pm in the Town Hall Theatre, Raby Road, Hartlepool, TS24 8AH. The cost will be £3 for Cobwebs members and £4 for non-members, and free for Hartlepool residents.
