An Evening of Beethoven, Borodin and Mozart - In Memory of John Faulds

Bishop Auckland Town Hall, 7.30pm

Bishop Auckland Choral Society together with Jesmond Choral Group are holding an evening of music in memory of John Faulds. The evening also includes the Cobweb Orchestra conducted by Andy Jackson, Venera Bujkova and Jonathan Scott with Emily Devine (violin) and Fang Fang (piano).

Jesmond Choral Group and Riding Mill Choral Society perform Haydn's Creation

The Jesmond Consort perform Victoria Requiem Officium defunctorum 1605

Holy Trinity Church, Jesmond - 7.30pm

As part of the Jesmond Community Festival the Consort perform the Victoria Requiem as well as music by Lotti, Bruckner, Casals, Grieg and Rachmaninov.

Conducted by Jonathan Scott.

Entrance free.

The Jesmond Consort is affiliated to the Jesmond Choral Group.

An Evening of Rossini with the Jesmond Choral Group

St Hilda's Church, Thornleigh Road, Jesmond - 7.30pm

Jesmond Choral Group begin the celebration of their 40th Anniversary with one of the first works they performed - Rossini's 'Petite messe solonnelle'.

Other works will include the Prayer from Moses, his four part arrangement of 'O Salutaris Hostias', arias from his operas and also the famous 'Cat Duet'.

Jesmond Choral Group perform the Fauré Requiem

St Matthew's Church, Big Lamp, Newcastle upon Tyne - 11:00am

The group perform the wonderful piece by Fauré as part of a full Requiem Mass for Remembrance Day. They will be joined by Warkworth Village Choir and soloists Alex Murchie (Soprano) and Chris Vernazza (Baritone).

Admission is free although contributions to the collection at the end of the service will be welcomed.

Remembrance...An Evening of Music and Poetry (includes Fauré Requiem)

Warkworth United Reform Church, 7:30pm

Jesmond Choral Group and Warkworth Village Choir join together in an evening of music and poetry, inlcuding a performance of Fauré's astonishing work along with his Cantique de Jean Racine and Bruckner: Motets.

Soloists are Shirley Wilkinson and Alex Murchie (Sopranos), John Kirk (Baritone) and Chris Vernazza (Tenor).
