Workshop with the Durham Scratch Choir
Join the Durham Scratch Choir in their 'Voices for Hospices' concert and workshops, singing a range of music including the first performance of a new work by Andy Jackson. Heaven Beneath our Feet is a collection of songs adapted from the words of Gerrard Winstanleyand using music from Playford's English Dancing Master. The work is lively and innovative.
Singers can sign up individually or in groups from other choirs to join the Durham Scratch Choir in this production.
Workshops will take place on Wednesday evenings:
16, 23, 30 September and 7 October.
Concert: Saturday 10 October, with a rehearsal from 2 - 6 pm at Elvet Methodist Church.
You can join in these workshops at any stage (there are no auditions) and if you are a confident sight reader can just come for the final rehearsal.
Each two hour workshop will cost £5. Proceeds will go to the Voices for Hospices Charity. Music will be available.
