Making Music is the UK national organisation which champions and supports amateur and semi-professional music groups of all genres. The North East region covers Northumberland, Durham, Tyneside, Wearside and Tees Valley.
A regional committee ensures that our member groups can make the most of their membership and flourish in their music-making. This website also includes news from Making Music North East and forthcoming events listings, as well as musical news items of more general interest. Members can keep track of local Training and Development opportunities. We very much welcome your feedback on this site and this will help us with future developments.
From the Tweed to the North Yorkshire Moors there are music societies to suit most tastes. Have a look at them and their events and discover what a variety of live music is being celebrated in our region. Go and listen, or better still get involved.
